A new technique to produce hollow prostheses is presented. Each hollow prosthesis was significantly reduced in weight, one-third lighter than the original weight, with the exact size, shape, and volume of the existing solid prosthesis. This simple design significantly reduced the weight of these eyes and revolutionized these patients rehabilitation. Previously the solid prosthesis overburdened the lower eyelids, causing discomfort, irritation, discharge, and reddening, whereas the new lightweight prosthesis are unobtrusive, comfortable, and good aesthetically.
